There are many benefits to teaching music lessons at a young age. At Trinity children learn that making music is a beautiful and expressive language we use to make our lives richer, more articulate, more connected and more meaningful.
Singing helps to build a child’s confidence and lift their spirits. Social skills are interwoven into all lessons, and the results can also be seen outside of the music classroom too. Once children can sing in tune they are able to transfer those skills to learning to play an instrument. Our students develop an understanding that instruments are a natural way to express yourself, the same way that words or body language are natural ways to express yourself.
Rhythm is the heart and soul of music in all cultures. It requires the use of listening skills, hand-eye coordination, patience and perseverance. At Trinity, children enjoy a rich and varied music programme that prepares them for a lifelong love of music.
